Library Information

The Higgins Middle School Library operates with the activity classes and is maintained by a full-time librarian. Students may check out books during the school day and are encouraged to check out books to participate in the AR (Accelerated Reader) program.

 

The library hosts Fall and spring Bookfairs, Cultural Diversity/Black History Programs, as well as Literacy Nights throughout the academic school year. Students also receive small group instruction in Reading and Writing with our librarian.

 

Our mission is to provide quality literature and resources to the students, parents, and community. Our goal is to instill in our students a love of reading beyond their academic requirements.
